General Election 2025: Party Political Broadcasts Schedule

SINGAPORE – 24 APR 2025

1. The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has allocated airtime on free-to-air television and radio for political parties to deliver their campaigning messages during two Party Political Broadcasts (PPBs).

2. Political parties that field at least six candidates under a recognised party symbol are eligible for the PPBs. Independents and political parties fielding less than 6 candidates under the same recognised party symbol are not eligible.

3. For General Election 2025, there will be two PPBs, which will be carried across six Mediacorp television channels, and thirteen Mediacorp, SPH and So Drama! Entertainment radio stations on:

  • 1st Broadcast: 25 April 2025; and
  • 2nd Broadcast: 1 May 2025.

4. Eight political parties are eligible for the PPBs. They may deliver their campaigning messages during the PPBs in all or any of the four official languages, i.e. English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil. Details on the PPBs can be viewed here.

5. The duration of airtime allocated for each political party will be based on the number of candidates fielded by it. The allocated airtime will be the same for both PPBs for each political party.

6. The order of the PPBs on television and radio will be determined by the number of candidates fielded by the parties, starting first with the party fielding the least number of candidates, and ending with the party fielding the largest number of candidates. The order for the broadcasts is as follows:

7. To facilitate media reporting, IMDA will release all scripts of the two PPBs to the media at 6pm on the same day of each broadcast. All scripts are embargoed till after delivery and are to be checked against delivery.
