Due to harmonisation of frequency usage within the region, the radio frequency band 477.00 - 477.25 MHz will be reallocated for television broadcasting usage and will no longer be used for Multi-Channels Radio (MCR) operation. MCR users will need to migrate to radio frequency band 446.3250 – 446.4750 MHz (446 MHz).

The technical specifications for MCR have thus been revised to the new 446 MHz radio frequency band with maximum RF power set at 1 W ERP. Licence from IDA is required for the use of MCR with RF power above 500 mW ERP.

The purpose of Singapore IPv6 Profile is to identify the IPv6 capabilities so as to assist Singapore Government Agencies, Enterprise and Network Providers in the development of specific acquisition and deployment plans. This Profile is not designed for transition guide and policies.

The objective is to define an unambiguous "working language" with respect to the suite of international standards defining IPv6 (i.e. Internet Engineering Task Force's Request for Comments, IETF RFCs). This assists in assuring quality deployment outcomes.

This Profile defines the basic configuration options for IPv6 capability requirements of specific procurement. Government agencies, enterprise and network providers are expected to work closely with their hardware and software vendors to further revise the specification to meet their requirement.
