About the Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) for the Data Centre (DC) sector
IMDA issued the Green Data Centre (DC) Roadmap in May 2024 to chart the sustainable, continued growth of DCs in Singapore and support our ambitions to grow the digital economy. As part of partnering with the industry to push boundaries and accelerate DC energy efficiency at the hardware and software levels, IMDA will help DC end-users to adopt energy efficient compute/ IT infrastructure.
DC end-users can now tap on the Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) for the DC sector to support their adoption of pre-approved energy-efficient IT equipment. The EEG was launched in December 2024. Key details of the grant are below:
- Support cap per company: $30,000
- Support rate until 31 March 2026:
- Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): Up to 70% of equipment costs
- Non-SMEs: Up to 30% of equipment costs
- Supported equipment: Please refer to GoBusiness for the list of pre-approved equipment for the DC sector. The equipment purchased must be utilised within a commercial DC in Singapore.

Who can apply
Business entities registered and operating in Singapore, with a minimum of one local employee and a maximum group annual sales turnover of $500 million, are eligible for the grant.

Applications can be submitted through the Business Grants Portal (BGP).
