As announced at Budget 2024, the Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) will be extended to more sectors by the end of this year. The Infocomm Media Authority of Singapore (IMDA) will administer the EEG for the DC sector.
The base tier of the EEG (EEG (Base)) supports the adoption of pre-approved energy-efficient IT equipment to encourage users of DCs to transit to energy-efficient IT equipment.
IMDA is therefore issuing this RFI to collect information on eligible IT equipment to be pre-approved under EEG (Base). Interested vendors are invited to submit the details of qualified computer servers and storage devices to be considered for this pre-approved listing.
Submission to RFI
IMDA invites all IT equipment vendors to submit information on the computer servers and storage devices meeting the following pre-approval criteria through this RFI.
- Certified by ENERGY STAR to meet the Program Requirements for Computer Servers and Storage Devices for Data Centres; and
- Minimally comply to Class A2 of The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Environmental Classes for Data Centres.
