1800 MHz Spectrum Right

The 1800MHz Spectrum Right Auction closed on 4 February 2009.

The Winning Bidder is Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd. The winning bid amount was S$500,000.

At the submission deadline of 5pm, 14 January 2009, IDA received a total of two Application Forms with accompanying Initial Offers and Bank Guarantees. The two applicants were

1. Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd and
2. StarHub Mobile Ltd.

Both applicants have been registered as Bidders and are entitled to participate in the 1800MHz Spectrum Right Auction, which is scheduled to commence on 4 February 2009.

IDA has extended the deadline for submission of the Application Form, Initial Offer Document and Bank Guarantee from 5pm, 7 January 2009 to 5pm, 14 January 2009.

IDA will also conduct an initial briefing on the 1800 MHz Spectrum Rights Auction Framework on 9 January 2009, 10am, at IDA. Interested bidders are invited to register with IDA by 5pm, 6 January 2009, by emailing gregory_chia@imda.gov.sg with a list of representatives attending the briefing and a contact number.

IDA has decided to offer to grant one 1800 MHz Spectrum Right by way of an auction. Interested parties must submit their Application Form, Initial Offer Document and Bank Guarantee delivered by hand, addressed to:
