2024 Call-for-Proposals for Films: Long-Form and Short-Form Content Grants

Applications for long-form and short-form content projects (i.e. feature films and short films) are conducted by a Call-for-Proposals (CFP).

The 2024 CFP for the Long-Form Content Grant is open for feature films projects of at least 70 minutes, applying for any of the three categories:

  • New SG Director [ND]

With a first or second-time feature film Director, whose previous long-form content projects have not been supported by IMDA.

  • Southeast Asia Co-Production [SEA]

Originate from the Southeast Asia region, and are in collaboration with a Singapore Co-Producer.

  • Go-Global [GG]

Large-scale international feature film projects with ambition and plans for wide global reach.

The 2024 CFP for the Short-Form Content Grant is open for short films projects not exceeding 40 minutes and must meet the following eligibility criteria:

The project must:

  • have a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident director and producer attached, who must not be the same individual.
  • have a director who has:
    • directed at least one short film with “director” credit which has been screened at selected film festivals and/or showcased or competed at any of the events listed under qualifying platforms.
    • not directed any feature films (runtime of at least 70 minutes)
  • have a producer with “producer”/“co-producer” or equivalent credits in media content (e.g. short or feature films, episodic series etc)
  • not be a commissioned piece or school project (e.g. final year projects or thesis films).

How to respond to a CFP

If you already have a ready project to submit for the CFP, please read the published guidelines carefully and prepare the proposal according to the requirements. Your complete proposal (including all required documents) must be submitted via a FormSG (Long-Form Content Grant) and FormSG (Short-Form Content Grant). Please note the form will only be open during the CFP submission periods. Please also note that IMDA reserves the right to not accept any submission that is late or deemed incomplete.
