5G Open Testbed

IMDA's 5G innovation programme recognises the transformative potential of 5G technology, which is more than just connectivity. 5G is a game changer in Singapore’s digital journey. It is the foundation which will enable transformative applications that unlock new value for consumers, businesses, and societies at large.

We aim to journey together with the industry, encourage experimentation and innovation, and enable organisations to harness the potential of 5G in Singapore.

With a strong foundation already in place, we are committed to a journey with international and local organisations to unlock the value of 5G. As part of our efforts to democratise 5G innovation for all businesses, 5G commercial service is now available at these testbeds:

1. Maritime Drone Estate (MDE)
2. Science Park 2
3. 5G Living Lab @ PIXEL

Companies keen to innovate at these 5G testbeds can also tap on IMDA’s 5G innovation programme, a S$30M fund aimed to accelerate the adoption and commercialisation of 5G solutions.

Companies would be able to trial their solutions at these 5G testbeds before they embark on their journey towards commercialisation as part of our efforts to convert Singapore into an innovation hub for 5G.

Applicants are required to provide details such as (list non-exhaustive):

• Company profile
• The trial objective(s)
• The solution involved in the trial
• Period of solution trial
