Huat Films was set up by Michelle Chong in 2011 to produce her first feature, Already Famous, which she wrote, directed and starred in. The film grossed more that $1 million at the local box office in its opening week. This was followed with their next film 3 Peas in a Pod, starring Taiwanese pop star Calvin Chen of boyband Fahrenheit and Korean K-pop star Alexander Lee Eusebio formerly from U-Kiss.
