Thean-jeen is one of the most prolific and acclaimed writer-directors and showrunners working in the Singapore independent production industry today, having created, executive-produced, written and directed over 150 hours of film and television content in the span of his career. His past work includes the award-winning AlterAsians and The Singapore Short Story Project as well as four seasons of Code Of Law.
Recent projects – as executive producer, writer and director – include The Bridge for Viu Malaysia/HBO Asia as well as Divided (分裂) and Derek for MediaCorp Toggle. Feature films he has written and directed include the Malaysia-Singapore co-production Homecoming (笑着回家), Bring Back The Dead (招魂) as well as The Big Day (简单的婚礼).
