Technology is radically transforming the workforce. To ensure that I&C professionals are equipped to take advantage of the opportunities that the digital economy brings, the I&C Jobs Transformation Map (JTM) was published to provide insights into the technologies that are changing the future of tech jobs and how workers and employers can successfully navigate these changes through job redesign and reskilling I&C professionals. IMDA’s TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA), is a national initiative that aims to equips individuals with the necessary digital skills and stay competitive. It also provides employers with guidance in redesigning tech jobs for at-risk workers.

Reskilling 18,000 talent over next three years in AI and adjacent digital skills
Over the next three years, IMDA will work with training partners to equip about 18,000 I&C professionals in AI and Analytics with an emphasis on Generative AI and two other in-demand areas – Software Engineering, Cloud and Mobility.
IMDA is working with five training partners to roll out the training programme.
Individuals in non-tech jobs can access training offerings to equip themselves with more advanced digital skills such as in Generative AI. Already, more than 20 companies from different industries have signalled their intention to work with these partners to reskill their employees.
The five training partners are: National University of Singapore, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, NTUC LearningHub, Singapore University of Social Sciences, and a consortium formed by Temasek Polytechnic-Republic Polytechnic-Generation Singapore.
