Digital for Life – Embrace digital learning. Enrich your life.
Digital for Life (DfL) is a national movement that strengthens digital inclusion in Singapore so that everyone can enjoy the benefits that technology brings. Through the combined efforts of corporates, community groups, government, and individuals, DfL promotes digital adoption by helping Singaporeans improve their digital literacy and digital skills. DfL was launched in 2021 at the President’s Challenge to build a digitally inclusive society where digital technologies and opportunities are accessible to all, with no one left behind. The patron for DfL is President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.
Technology has touched and enriched almost all aspects of our life, helping us to connect, communicate, and collaborate in ways never imagined.
This exciting digital universe is captured within the DfL logo in the form of a ‘Play’ button, which invites you to start your DfL journey, and play your part in supporting all Singaporeans to embrace the digital way of life.
DfL is anchored by programmes that focus on:
Digital access
With a growing need for digital access and connectivity, a wider range of individuals among disadvantaged groups, especially lower-income families, seniors and vulnerable groups more comfortable with vernacular languages can benefit from programmes that strive towards digital inclusion.
Digital wellness
Individuals are equipped with skills to use technology safely and meaningfully through activities that increase awareness of cyber wellness and safety, media literacy, raising children in the digital age, and the mitigation of online risks.
Digital literacy and adoption
Different segments of society are educated on how digital technologies can enrich their daily lives, helping them to strengthen their digital capabilities.
Future readiness
Increasing society's knowledge and appreciation of emerging technologies such as Generative AI empowers them to navigate and use them meaningfully in daily life while understanding their risks.
Who benefits from Digital for Life?
Singaporeans from all ages and walks of life can embrace digital learning as a lifelong pursuit through the national initiative Digital Skills for Life, supporting the Digital for Life movement. Discover how you can benefit from DfL and pick up digital skills to enhance your daily life.

Technology lets you easily communicate with loved ones around the world, use digital government services, and transact online safely with confidence.
Programmes supporting the DfL movement are tailored to facilitate quick and easy digital adoption for the elderly. If you are a senior, island-wide personalised coaching is available for you to learn essential digital skills such as setting up your smart devices, communicating and transacting online, exploring information online, and being smart, safe, and kind online.
Youth
Youths passionate about technology can develop their digital skills, stay up to date with the latest technology trends, and chart an exciting tech career path.
Initiatives like the curated Value-In-Action projects provide opportunities for the Infocomm Media Club members to learn from industry leaders and eventually teach others confidently. If you are a Club member, you can also volunteer at events that support DfL.
Parents
Parents can help make the digital future safer by guiding their children to be smart, safe and kind online. Resources available equip parents with knowledge on topics such as positive tech use, internet safety, and being kind on social media.
